i’ve smelled a lot of s**t but yours was definitely the worst: a soliloquy

Life can be tough. Navigating life as an introverted people pleaser means it may be extra difficult. At some point you’ll find yourself cleaning up shit; someone or somethings mess will become your responsibility, and you’ll hate every second of it. A child, pet, or parent hold high probability that the shit will be literal. Bosses, family, gas station attendants, teachers, police officers, librarians and neighbors pose a huge risk of hurling figurative excrement your way.

Passive personality types often deal with these negative stressors internally, creating a visceral state of anxiety and decay. Rather than spew negative thoughts, feelings, and emotions outward, they are pushed within and dealt with on a personal level. If these traits sound anything like you, CONGRATULATIONS! Your psychological maturity dictates a higher level of intelligence. Also, CONGRATULATIONS! More than likely you’re clinically depressed with at least one anxiety disorder caused by the repression of most major emotions. Just continue the mind numbing grind knowing the world needs more of you to keep it sane and limping along. #godspeed

Regardless of the type of shit storm you’ve found yourself in, the hope is that you’ll have cultivated enough humor to ride it out. Remember, whatever fecal fritter life hurls at you helps you to grow, or gain more experience points for your journey. You’ll continue “leveling up”, which in this case refers to becoming more aware of the Universe and the balance between all life on Earth. You know, being woke. Woked up?… I dunno but if you know, you know. The process is painful; people who were once important pieces on the board are gone, often abruptly. Socializing becomes more difficult as material and shallow conversations grow to be agonizing impossibilities. Thoughts and ideas tend to be pondered internally unless current company has leveled up with you.

Again, hold fast dreamer. The world- no Universe NEEDS you to survive. You are the thinkers, the philosophers, the inventors. Persist in your advanced evaluation and clean up shit if you must, but refuse to take someone else’s shit. No one has the right to speak down to another, berate, belittle or verbally abuse. Stand up for yourself, under no circumstances should someone be permitted to disparage or make you feel insignificant. That has to do with THEIR shit; their internal shortcomings not yours, and instead of confronting them they’re attempting to unload on another to as not to take responsibility. Stop. Tell them to piss off as I guarantee you have your own problems to wade through; your own personal levels to reach and attain. Stay mindful, focus, and keep on trucking.

Use meditation, prayer, exercise, music, atmosphere changes and laughter as natural remedies to maintain an inner harmony. Sit with people in your tribe, laugh and joke with those that bring comfort and joy. They are jeweled rafts in the sea of life and provide unlimited moments of humor, safety, and balance. Feel validated when confronting negativity yet keep your composure. It IS infuriating to sit silently and stew internally when the external force is clearly the instigator. It IS irritating allowing others the opportunity to speak their ignorant minds (because fReE sPeEcH) while you sit mutely with a forced half smile, holding the flood of rebuttle against a pearly trembling dam.

So speak! Protect like minded individuals and tell the loud talkers that THEY ARE WRONG. Instead of quietly standing, humbly yet powerfully speak your Truth and walk away. As long as you remain cordial and compassionate no harm is caused; only self confidence and relief which heal the soul.

It is time to let the flood gates open. But eloquently.
